Here’s my first project using cable knitting. I cabled about every 5th row, so it created this interesting bubble effect. The pattern is a variation of one I’ve used several times to create easy, functional potholders: https://sites.google.com/site/knitbug/knitbug. If you don’t sew, or have my secret weapon (a husband who does), try this for a first cabling project: http://knitonespintoo.wordpress.com/2007/03/09/reversable-cabled-dishcloth/. I found that cabling takes a little bit longer, but I think it’s definitely worth the effort! Now, on to this:
